Lahad Datu faces the sea at Darvel Bay with Mount Silam rising at its back, the peak crowned by the Tower of Heaven (Menara Kayangan) that looks out over the bay and the forest canopy. Roughly halfway between Sandakan and Semporna, the town is a gateway to two of Borneo's great wild places, the Danum Valley Conservation Area to the west and the Tabin Wildlife Reserve to the east, while the town itself is one of Sabah's busiest palm-oil hubs, anchored by the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster on the bay.

The work

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.

The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
