This Privacy Policy explains how spmchemistry.com.my (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles the personal information you share with us. We are an online SPM Chemistry tutoring service, that arranges 1-to-1 SPM Chemistry lessons with vetted, experienced teachers. We handle personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and arrange lessons. When you message us on WhatsApp or fill in a form, that typically means your name, phone number, the student’s form (Form 4 or Form 5), the school or town you mention, and anything you choose to tell us about the student’s needs. Our website uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful; this does not identify you personally.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, to arrange and schedule lessons, to assign your child a suitable teacher, and to send you information you have asked for about our lessons. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except your child’s teacher and the tools we use to run the service (for example, WhatsApp, which carries our messages). Lessons are conducted in English, and any notes a teacher keeps are used only to teach that student.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and lesson records only for as long as we are helping you, plus a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. The easiest way to make any of these requests is to message us on WhatsApp using the button on this site. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
SPM students are often under 18. Where the student is a minor, we expect a parent or guardian to make the enquiry and to be involved in arranging lessons. If you are a student under 18, please have a parent or guardian contact us on your behalf.
Cookies and analytics
We keep tracking to a minimum. We do not run advertising trackers. Any analytics we use are configured to measure page visits in aggregate rather than to profile individuals.
