Getting started with a tutor should be easy and honest, so we have kept our process to five simple steps with no paperwork, no registration fee and no obligation. It begins with a single WhatsApp message and ends, if it is right for your child, with ongoing one-to-one lessons with a teacher who genuinely fits them.

Here is exactly what happens at each stage, so you know what to expect before you reach out.

Step 1, You message us on WhatsApp

Everything starts with one message. You send us a WhatsApp with your child’s form (Form 4 or Form 5), their target grade, and anything you already know about where they are struggling or what they are aiming for.

There is no form to fill in and no account to create. We reply the same day.

This first exchange is a normal conversation, not a sales pitch, we want to understand your child’s situation before we say anything about teachers or rates. If you prefer, you can tell us a specific concern, such as a disappointing trial-exam result or a chapter your child finds impossible, and we will build from there.

Step 2, We understand the needs

Before matching anyone, we take the time to understand what your child actually needs. Over the WhatsApp conversation we ask about their current level, their target grade, which chapters or papers are causing trouble, and any practical details like timing and how they prefer to learn.

This matters because Chemistry help is not one-size-fits-all: a Form 4 student building foundations, a Form 5 student in the revision year, a repeat candidate, and an A+ chaser all need different things from a teacher. Step 3, We assign your child’s teacher

The teacher is assigned to your child specifically: the right experience for the target grade, and a teaching style suited to how your child learns. We tell you who the teacher is and their exact hourly rate (from RM50) before anything is booked, so you can decide with full information.

Step 4, Your child takes a one-hour paid trial

Once you are happy with the teacher and the rate, your child takes a one-hour paid first lesson at the teacher’s rate. This is a full, real lesson, not a sales demonstration.

The teacher teaches exactly as they would in an ongoing arrangement, and for many students begins diagnosing where the marks are being lost. During the hour you can see the things that actually matter: whether the teacher explains clearly, whether your child engages and asks questions, whether the one-to-one online format works for them, and whether the teacher listens before teaching.

Your first lesson is a real, paid hour of teaching you can judge, an honest lesson rather than a performance designed to sign you up.

Step 5, You continue only if it fits

After the trial, you decide. If it was a good fit, you simply carry on, arranging further lessons directly with the teacher at whatever frequency suits your child, there is no package to buy and no contract to sign.

If it was not the right fit, you owe nothing further, and if you would like, we will suggest a different teacher and run another trial, because our job is to get your child to someone who genuinely suits them. This “continue only if it fits” step is the whole point of the paid trial: you never commit to ongoing lessons before you have seen a real one.

What happens after you continue

Once lessons are ongoing, the rhythm is simple and flexible. You and the teacher agree times that fit your child’s week, and adjust them around school exams and holidays.

The teacher works from your child’s own answers, teaching, setting targeted practice, and marking it, and gives you honest updates on progress, so you always know what is secure and what is next. You can increase the frequency before a major exam, ease off in a quiet term, or pause during a holiday, all without penalty, because you pay per lesson.

If at any point it stops being useful, you can simply stop.

How quickly can we start?

Usually very quickly. The first WhatsApp reply comes the same day, and a trial lesson can often be arranged within a few days, depending on schedules.

Because there is no registration process, no forms and no waiting list, the time from your first message to a real lesson is short. If your child’s exam is close and time is tight, tell us and we will prioritise getting a suitable teacher and a trial arranged as fast as possible.

Lessons are in English

Our lessons are conducted in English. The SPM Chemistry papers are bilingual, printed in both Bahasa Melayu and English, so working in English prepares your child to answer confidently in either version.

In a one-to-one setting the teacher can still clarify a difficult term in the way your child understands, because the lesson is tuned to one student.

What you need before the trial

There is very little to prepare. Have your child’s most recent Chemistry test or exam paper to hand if there is one, since it helps the teacher diagnose quickly, and note the chapters your child finds hardest.

On the technical side, your child needs a laptop or tablet with a stable connection and a way to show written working to the camera, a phone pointed at paper is enough to begin.
