Who is this tuition for?

- A Form 4 student starting the syllabus. Getting the foundations right in Form 4, atomic structure, bonding, the mole, makes the whole of Form 5 easier.

What does a one-to-one online lesson look like?
Lessons are fully online, one student and one teacher, conducted in English over a video call with a shared workspace where the teacher can write equations, sketch apparatus and mark the student’s working in real time. A typical lesson starts by checking the previous topic, teaches or revisits the target concept with worked examples, then has the student attempt questions while the teacher watches how they think, because that is where the marks are won or lost.
The teacher ends with a clear next step.
Because it is one-to-one, the lesson bends to the student. A confident student moves quickly into past-paper-style questions; a struggling student slows down and rebuilds a concept from the beginning without any embarrassment in front of a class.
Nothing is wasted on classroom management or on topics the student already knows.
Which chapters and papers do we cover?
We cover the complete KSSM Chemistry syllabus for both years. Form 4 runs from Introduction to Chemistry through Matter and the Atomic Structure, the Mole Concept, the Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Acids Bases and Salts, Rate of Reaction, and Manufactured Substances in Industry.

We also prepare students for the exam itself, not just the content. The SPM Chemistry assessment uses three papers.
Paper 1 is objective: Paper 1 has 40 questions, all compulsory, worth 40 marks marks, in 1 hour 15 minutes. Paper 2 is the written paper, worth 100 marks marks, with structured questions in Section A and longer response and essay questions in Sections B and C.
Paper 3 is the practical test that assesses science process skills. Teachers coach the technique each paper rewards, elimination on Paper 1, structured working and command-word discipline on Paper 2, and planning, hypotheses, tables and graphs for Paper 3.

Fees start from RM50 an hour and vary with the teacher’s experience, a teacher with a longer track record or a heavier specialism may charge more. There are no packages and no lock-in: you pay per lesson, and the exact rate is confirmed on WhatsApp before anything begins.

One-to-one tuition versus a tuition-centre class
A group class has real advantages, it is cheaper per hour and some students like the company. But for a subject as cumulative and technique-heavy as Chemistry, a class of twenty moves at one speed, and a student who misses the mole concept in week three quietly loses everything built on it afterwards.
One-to-one costs more per hour but often needs fewer hours, because none of the time is spent waiting, re-explaining for the class, or managing behaviour. The teacher sees your child’s actual working and corrects the specific habit that is costing marks.
For a student who is either behind or reaching for an A+, that focus is usually the difference.

How to start

What does progress usually look like?
We will not promise a jump of so many grades in so many weeks, that kind of number is guesswork dressed up as a promise. What we can describe honestly is the shape of good progress.
In the first few lessons the teacher diagnoses where the real gaps are, which is often not where a parent expects: a student “bad at organic chemistry” is frequently just shaky on drawing and naming structures, and a student “bad at calculations” has usually never been shown a reliable way to set the working out. Once the gap is named, lessons target it directly, and the student starts to recognise question types and lose fewer careless marks.
Over a term, the aim is a student who can attempt a full past-paper-style question, show clear working, and know why each mark is earned. Speed of progress depends on the starting point, the target, and how much the student practises between lessons, a good teacher will tell you plainly how it is going rather than flatter you.
Getting ready for the first lesson
You do not need to prepare much. Have your child’s most recent Chemistry test or exam paper to hand if there is one, note the chapters they find hardest, and make sure they can join a video call with a stable connection and, ideally, a way to show their written working, a phone camera pointed at paper is enough to start.
