Teach SPM Chemistry online from Miri

Teaching from Miri

This posting covers Miri and the surrounding Miri district in Sarawak. If you live nearby but not in Miri itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

On Canada Hill stands the Grand Old Lady, the country's first oil well, where oil was struck in December 1910 and turned a small fishing settlement into an industrial town; the derrick and the neighbouring Petroleum Museum look out over the coastline today.

Sarawak is Malaysia’s largest state, spread along the Borneo coast from Kuching to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.

A teacher in Miri can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.

Because lessons run online, your location in Miri only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.

The work

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.

Some students want to rescue a weak foundation; others are aiming for an A. One-to-one lessons let you teach both well, because the plan is built for one person.

There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.
