Our students across Malaysia need experienced SPM Chemistry teachers, and you can teach them from Limbang. Lessons are online and one to one, freelance and part-time, from RM50/hr depending on experience and availability.
Teaching from Limbang
Teachers from Limbang and across the Limbang district of Sarawak can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.
Limbang has a geography found almost nowhere else in Malaysia: the district sits between the two separate halves of Brunei, on the banks of the Limbang River that gave the town its old role as a river port. The oldest building in town, the belian-wood Old Fort raised by Charles Brooke in 1897 and now the Limbang Regional Museum, still stands over the water, and the surrounding country of sago, rubber and buffalo farms earned the place its affectionate nickname as a town of buffaloes.
Sarawak is Malaysia’s largest state, spread along the Borneo coast from Kuching to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.
From Limbang, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.
Many teachers in Limbang already teach some classes online and like the focus it gives. With us, every lesson works that way, one student at a time.
The work
You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.
Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.
Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.
You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
