Few towns in Malaysia are shaped by a river the way Kapit is. For generations Kapit could be reached only by the express boats that thread up from Sibu, a little over two hours on the water, or by light aircraft, and it remains the commercial and social heart for the longhouse communities and timber camps of the middle Rajang.
A road from Sibu finally opened in 2021, but the river still defines daily life here.
From Kapit, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.
The work
Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.
You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.
The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.
You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
