Teach SPM Chemistry online from Sungai Petani

Teaching from Sungai Petani

Teachers from Sungai Petani and across the Kuala Muda district of Kedah can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.

Sungai Petani is a busy commercial and industrial town in the south of Kedah, and its best-known marker sits right in the centre: the art-deco Clock Tower (Menara Jam Besar), unveiled in 1936 and donated by the Penang philanthropist Lim Lean Teng, still the icon locals point to when they give directions. To the north the flat-topped bulk of Gunung Jerai looms over the plain.

Home languages include Malay, Mandarin and dialect, and Tamil in the town's Indian community.

Teachers in Sungai Petani often tell us the hardest part of private tuition is the travel between homes. With us that disappears, since each lesson is online and one to one.

The work

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.

The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.

Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.
