Teach SPM Chemistry online from Gurun

Teaching from Gurun

We list this role for Gurun, in Kedah’s Kuala Muda district, so local teachers can find it. The work is the same wherever in Kedah you live.

Gurun sits on the main road and rail spine of the peninsula, and its modern identity is industrial. The Gurun industrial area is best known for its automotive manufacturing, the large vehicle assembly plant established here in 2002, later part of the Stellantis group, along with the vendors and supporting factories around it.

Rising to the west, the forested massif of Gunung Jerai dominates the skyline for miles, a familiar marker for anyone driving the highway past the town. A fixed weekly slot at home is also far easier to plan around a shift than a nightly run to a centre.

From Gurun, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.

The work

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
