Teach SPM Chemistry online from Pontian

Teaching from Pontian

Teachers from Pontian and across the Pontian district of Johor can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.

Pontian faces the Straits of Malacca, and its geography is unmistakable. Tanjung Piai, at the district's edge, is the southernmost point of mainland Asia, a protected mangrove wetland where boardwalks run out over the mud.

Offshore, the stilt fishing village of Kukup draws visitors for its seafood, and inland Pekan Nanas takes its name from the pineapple, a crop the area was famous for on a world scale a generation ago. The main town, Pontian Kechil, grew from a fishing village into the district centre.

Living in Pontian is no obstacle, because every lesson happens over video. You teach from your own desk, and the student joins from theirs, wherever they are in Malaysia.

The work

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.
