Teach SPM Chemistry online from Muar

Teaching from Muar

Muar sits in the Muar district of Johor. Teachers living anywhere in the district, or elsewhere in Johor, are welcome to apply.

Muar carries the title Bandar Maharani, formally named a royal town of Johor in 2012, and it wears its history openly. The Muar Clock Tower stands over the town centre, the sky-blue Masjid Jamek Sultan Ibrahim dates from the 1920s, and Tanjung Emas Park looks out over the river where wooden boats still chug past rows of pre-war shophouses.

Johor is Malaysia’s southern gateway, from Johor Bahru on the Singapore border to the towns of Muar, Batu Pahat and Kluang.

Because lessons run online, your location in Muar only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.

A teacher in Muar can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.

The work

Some students want to rescue a weak foundation; others are aiming for an A. One-to-one lessons let you teach both well, because the plan is built for one person.

You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
