Teaching from Permatang Pauh

This posting covers Permatang Pauh and the surrounding Seberang Perai Tengah district in Pulau Pinang. If you live nearby but not in Permatang Pauh itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

Permatang Pauh is a semi-rural area in the centre of the mainland, set between the built-up strip from Butterworth to Seberang Jaya in the east and a broad expanse of paddy fields to the west.

Penang joins the island of George Town to the mainland at Butterworth and Bukit Mertajam.

There is no centre to travel to and no fixed classroom in Permatang Pauh. Your commute is the walk to your laptop, which leaves more of your time for teaching itself.

Living in Permatang Pauh is no obstacle, because every lesson happens over video. You teach from your own desk, and the student joins from theirs, wherever they are in Malaysia.

The work

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

Part-time here means your hours, not ours. Share your weekly availability in the application and we will only offer lessons that fit it.

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.
