Teach SPM Chemistry online from Perai

Teaching from Perai

This posting covers Perai and the surrounding Seberang Perai Tengah district in Pulau Pinang. If you live nearby but not in Perai itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

The Perai Free Industrial Zone, established in 1980 just south of Butterworth, was built to make the most of its position beside the Port of Penang and the railway line that links the mainland to the rest of the peninsula, and it grew into a major hub for heavy industry, manufacturing and port-linked trade. Companies making everything from toys to electronics and solar products run large plants here, and the roads carry a steady traffic of lorries, containers and shift workers.

Penang joins the island of George Town to the mainland at Butterworth and Bukit Mertajam.

You can be based anywhere in Perai and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.

Teachers in Perai often tell us the hardest part of private tuition is the travel between homes. With us that disappears, since each lesson is online and one to one.

The work

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.

The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.

You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.
