Teach SPM Chemistry online from Balik Pulau

Teaching from Balik Pulau

Teachers from Balik Pulau and across the Barat Daya district of Pulau Pinang can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.

Balik Pulau means "the other side of the island," and the name is honest: it lies behind Penang Hill and the central ridge, screened off from George Town and the coast by green highland. Reaching a centre in George Town means a long drive over the winding ridge road, thirty to forty-five minutes each way in clear traffic and longer at the wrong time, and the town itself has far fewer options than the city side.

Penang joins the island of George Town to the mainland at Butterworth and Bukit Mertajam.

Many teachers in Balik Pulau already teach some classes online and like the focus it gives. With us, every lesson works that way, one student at a time.

There is no centre to travel to and no fixed classroom in Balik Pulau. Your commute is the walk to your laptop, which leaves more of your time for teaching itself.

The work

You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.

You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

Part-time here means your hours, not ours. Share your weekly availability in the application and we will only offer lessons that fit it.
