Teaching from Marang

Teachers from Marang and across the Marang district of Terengganu can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.

Marang is a quiet fishing town best known as the gateway to Pulau Kapas, the small island whose name means cotton for its pale sand, reached by boat from the Marang Jetty in the middle of town. Beyond the harbour, the town keeps the unhurried character of the east-coast shore: traditional Malay houses, coconut palms along the beach at Rhu Muda, and a lively market that grows into a night market on certain evenings, selling the day's catch.

Terengganu runs along the east coast from Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus down to Kemaman and the oil towns of Kerteh and Paka.

Many teachers in Marang already teach some classes online and like the focus it gives. With us, every lesson works that way, one student at a time.

A teacher in Marang can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.

The work

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.
