Teach Form 4 and 5 Chemistry online from Kerteh, on hours that fit around the rest of your week. This is a freelance, part-time role paid from RM50/hr, depending on your experience and availability.
Teaching from Kerteh
This posting covers Kerteh and the surrounding Kemaman district in Terengganu. If you live nearby but not in Kerteh itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.
Few towns in Malaysia are as closely tied to a single industry as Kerteh. A dedicated airport and the Kerteh-Kuantan rail line were built to serve that industry.
Many grow up in technically minded households, and it is common to see real ambition toward science and engineering.
You can be based anywhere in Kerteh and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.
The work
Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.
Part-time here means your hours, not ours. Share your weekly availability in the application and we will only offer lessons that fit it.
A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.
You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
