Mining opened the area from the 1820s, drawing Hakka settlers whose descendants still shape the town's character, and the wealth it created gave Rawang a run of Malaysian firsts: it is often remembered as the first town in the country to have electric street lighting, installed to serve the mines, and in the 1950s one of the nation's earliest cement works rose here on land the miners left behind. Today the old shophouses of Rawang town sit beside newer townships like Bandar Baru Rawang, Bandar Tasik Puteri and Kundang, with Templer Park's waterfalls and forest just to the south, a reminder that industry and green hills have always shared this valley.

Selangor is Malaysia’s most populous state, wrapping around Kuala Lumpur through Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Klang and the Klang Valley suburbs.

From Rawang, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.

The work

You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
