Kajang sits in the Hulu Langat district of Selangor. Teachers living anywhere in the district, or elsewhere in Selangor, are welcome to apply.

Kajang is best known across Malaysia by a single word: satay. The town's grilled skewers have drawn weekend crowds for generations, and the name "Kajang satay" is a national shorthand.

But the Kajang of today is far larger than its food stalls, it sits at the end of the MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang line, with stations including Stadium Kajang and Kajang itself, and it has become one of the fastest-growing parts of Greater Kuala Lumpur, its old rubber land long since given over to housing. Home languages range across Malay, Mandarin, English and Tamil.

You can be based anywhere in Kajang and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.

The work

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.
