Teach SPM Chemistry online from Jeli

Teaching from Jeli

This posting covers Jeli and the surrounding Jeli district in Kelantan. If you live nearby but not in Jeli itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

Jeli sits where the East–West Highway crosses into Kelantan, the road that climbs over the main range from Gerik in Perak and runs on toward the coast, which is why Jeli is often called the western gateway to the East Coast. The town's best-known landmark is the Jeli campus of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), placed on that highway between Jeli and Tanah Merah, alongside Politeknik Jeli.

Kelantan, on the north-east coast, centres on Kota Bharu and reaches inland to Gua Musang and Kuala Krai.

There is no centre to travel to and no fixed classroom in Jeli. Your commute is the walk to your laptop, which leaves more of your time for teaching itself.

You can be based anywhere in Jeli and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.

The work

The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.

You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.

Some students want to rescue a weak foundation; others are aiming for an A. One-to-one lessons let you teach both well, because the plan is built for one person.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.
