Sabak Bernam sits where the Bernam River meets the Straits of Malacca, on Selangor's border with Perak, and it looks nothing like the rest of the state. Instead of highways and dense townships, the land here is a patchwork of paddy fields, oil-palm estates and coastal fishing villages.

Neighbouring Sungai Besar and Sekinchan are known across the country as rice bowls, the Paddy Gallery at Sekinchan and the flat green plains around it draw visitors who want to see where much of the nation's rice is grown. A fixed weekly slot also holds through the wet months, when the river-plain roads are least inviting.

From Sabak Bernam, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.

The work

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.
