Teach SPM Chemistry online from Kuala Pilah

Teaching from Kuala Pilah

This posting covers Kuala Pilah and the surrounding Kuala Pilah district in Negeri Sembilan. If you live nearby but not in Kuala Pilah itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

Kuala Pilah is the heartland of Negeri Sembilan's Minangkabau culture. A short way from the town lies Seri Menanti, the state's royal capital, where the Istana Besar and the older timber palace, the Tuanku Munawir royal mosque and the royal mausoleum still stand, and the road there is lined with traditional houses crowned by the sweeping "buffalo-horn" rooflines that mark Adat Perpatih country.

Negeri Sembilan, with its Minangkabau heritage, runs from Seremban and Port Dickson to Kuala Pilah and Jempol.

There is no centre to travel to and no fixed classroom in Kuala Pilah. Your commute is the walk to your laptop, which leaves more of your time for teaching itself.

Living in Kuala Pilah is no obstacle, because every lesson happens over video. You teach from your own desk, and the student joins from theirs, wherever they are in Malaysia.

The work

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.

Each lesson is one teacher and one Form 4 or 5 student, working through the KSSM Chemistry syllabus and SPM exam technique. Lessons are taught in English, the language our students sit the paper in.

The timetable is built around the slots you give us, not the other way round. Change in your circumstances later? Tell us on WhatsApp and we adjust.
