Here is a home-based teaching role for Bera: SPM Chemistry, Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson. It is freelance and part-time, from RM50/hr depending on your experience and availability.
Teaching from Bera
Teachers from Bera and across the Bera district of Pahang can apply here. Your state is prefilled in the message, so just add your details.
Bera takes its name and its character from Tasik Bera, the largest natural freshwater lake in Malaysia, a vast wetland of quiet water, forest and reed that has been protected under the Ramsar Convention since 1994 and is the traditional home of the Semelai Orang Asli. Around the lake the district spreads out into palm and rubber estates and a chain of small towns, Bandar Bera, Teriang, Kemayan, Mengkarak and the FELDA schemes between them.
Pahang is Peninsular Malaysia’s largest state, from coastal Kuantan to the Cameron Highlands and inland Jerantut.
From Bera, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.
Because lessons run online, your location in Bera only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.
The work
You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.
Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.
Each lesson is one teacher and one Form 4 or 5 student, working through the KSSM Chemistry syllabus and SPM exam technique. Lessons are taught in English, the language our students sit the paper in.
School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
