Teach Form 4 and 5 Chemistry online from Merlimau, on hours that fit around the rest of your week. This is a freelance, part-time role paid from RM50/hr, depending on your experience and availability.
Teaching from Merlimau
We list this role for Merlimau, in Melaka’s Jasin district, so local teachers can find it. The work is the same wherever in Melaka you live.
Merlimau is an old Malay town with a long agricultural story.
Melaka, the historic UNESCO city state, spans Melaka City, Alor Gajah and Jasin.
Many teachers in Merlimau already teach some classes online and like the focus it gives. With us, every lesson works that way, one student at a time.
From Merlimau, the only tools you need are a laptop or tablet, a camera and a pen for worked examples. We share questions and notes on screen during the lesson.
The work
Each lesson is one teacher and one Form 4 or 5 student, working through the KSSM Chemistry syllabus and SPM exam technique. Lessons are taught in English, the language our students sit the paper in.
You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.
Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.
The timetable is built around the slots you give us, not the other way round. Change in your circumstances later? Tell us on WhatsApp and we adjust.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
