Teach SPM Chemistry online from Alor Gajah

Teaching from Alor Gajah

This posting covers Alor Gajah and the surrounding Alor Gajah district in Melaka. If you live nearby but not in Alor Gajah itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

Alor Gajah is the seat of its own district, set in the plantation country north of Melaka City. Its town square, with the old district office and a keris monument, marks a settlement with a long place in the state's history, and the district is dotted with landmarks visitors know: the sprawling A'Famosa Resort with its golf course and water park out at Pegoh, the Gadek Hot Spring, and the Tradition and Custom Museum.

Away from those attractions it is a quieter, greener district of small towns, rubber and oil-palm land and Malay kampungs alongside long-established Chinese new villages. Home languages run across Malay, Mandarin and dialect.

Because lessons run online, your location in Alor Gajah only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.

The work

You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

You tell us the hours you can teach, and we plan lessons inside them. Many of our teachers fit lessons around school hours, family time or other work.
