Teach SPM Chemistry online from Teluk Intan

Teaching from Teluk Intan

Applying from Teluk Intan or elsewhere in Hilir Perak? The role is identical across Perak, and your town simply goes into your WhatsApp message.

Teluk Intan is known across Malaysia for one unmistakable landmark: the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. Built in 1885 as a clock tower and water store, its pagoda-style design reflects the town's long Chinese heritage, and its gentle tilt to the north-west has made it one of the most photographed buildings in the country.

The town sits on the lower Perak River, in a green delta of padi fields and plantations, and it has long been a busy riverside trading centre.

Living in Teluk Intan is no obstacle, because every lesson happens over video. You teach from your own desk, and the student joins from theirs, wherever they are in Malaysia.

The work

Our students are Form 4 and 5 candidates preparing for SPM Chemistry, and every lesson is one to one. You explain, they try, and you correct in the moment, all in English.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.

Students come to us for help with the hard parts of SPM Chemistry: the mole, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and Paper 3 practicals. You teach those ideas in English, at the pace one student needs.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.
