Teach SPM Chemistry online from Tapah

Teaching from Tapah

This posting covers Tapah and the surrounding Batang Padang district in Perak. If you live nearby but not in Tapah itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.

The town grew up around the old Tapah Road railway junction, and today it is anchored by the fully residential Sekolah Menengah Sains Tapah a few kilometres out along the Cameron road, and by the UiTM Perak campus nearby. Most carry Malay as a first language, and Tapah's older Chinese and Indian communities, rooted in its tin and plantation past, add Mandarin, dialect and Tamil to the mix.

Perak stretches from Ipoh and the Kinta Valley down to Teluk Intan and up to Taiping and Kuala Kangsar.

Because lessons run online, your location in Tapah only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.

A teacher in Tapah can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.

The work

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
