Here is a home-based teaching role for Tanjung Malim: SPM Chemistry, Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson. It is freelance and part-time, from RM50/hr depending on your experience and availability.
Teaching from Tanjung Malim
We list this role for Tanjung Malim, in Perak’s Muallim district, so local teachers can find it. The work is the same wherever in Perak you live.
The town sits at the very southern edge of Perak, on the Selangor border, close enough to the Kuala Lumpur corridor to feel its pull.
Perak stretches from Ipoh and the Kinta Valley down to Teluk Intan and up to Taiping and Kuala Kangsar.
A teacher in Tanjung Malim can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.
You can be based anywhere in Tanjung Malim and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.
The work
You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.
There is no minimum timetable set on this page; your availability shapes the work. Tell us your days and times, and we take it from there on WhatsApp.
You will cover the KSSM Form 4 and 5 chapters and the way SPM papers mark them. Clear explanations and well-chosen practice matter more here than speed.
Freelance means you stay in control of your week. You can grow your hours as you settle in, or keep them light during busy school terms.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
