Use your SPM Chemistry experience in Padang Besar to teach one student at a time, online. The role is freelance and part-time, paid from RM50/hr according to your experience and availability.
Teaching from Padang Besar
This posting covers Padang Besar and the surrounding Perlis district in Perlis. If you live nearby but not in Padang Besar itself, apply anyway and tell us your town.
Padang Besar sits right on the frontier between Perlis and Thailand, and the border defines the town.
Perlis is Malaysia’s smallest state, centred on Kangar and Arau near the Thai border.
You can be based anywhere in Padang Besar and still teach a full timetable of students. Online lessons mean your students may be in another state entirely.
Because lessons run online, your location in Padang Besar only matters for one thing: a quiet room and a steady connection. Everything else, from notes to past-year questions, is shared on screen.
The work
Each lesson is one teacher and one Form 4 or 5 student, working through the KSSM Chemistry syllabus and SPM exam technique. Lessons are taught in English, the language our students sit the paper in.
School holidays and the months before SPM tend to be busier. If you can offer extra hours then, say so, and keep a lighter load the rest of the year.
The teaching is focused: SPM Chemistry for Form 4 and 5, one student per lesson, in English. You bring the explanations and exam know-how, and we bring the students.
Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.
What we look for
- Experience teaching SPM / KSSM Chemistry
- Familiarity with the current syllabus (SPM 4541) and Papers 1, 2 and 3
- Clear English, the language of our lessons
- A quiet space, a reliable connection and a device with a camera
