Teach SPM Chemistry online from Kangar

Teaching from Kangar

We list this role for Kangar, in Perlis’s Perlis district, so local teachers can find it. The work is the same wherever in Perlis you live.

Kangar is the state capital of Perlis and the smallest state capital in Malaysia, a quiet administrative town set on the Perlis River near the Thai border. The town centre gathers around landmarks like the Alwi Mosque and the state administrative buildings, and beyond it stretch the flat paddy fields that make Perlis, for its size, one of the country's important rice districts.

Its people are largely civil servants and farmers, and its trades run to rice milling, sugar and other processing.

A teacher in Kangar can have a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Wednesday. Online teaching takes the map out of the timetable.

The work

A typical lesson mixes concept teaching with exam questions, taught in English over video. Because it is one to one, you can slow down or speed up for the student in front of you.

Evenings and weekends are when most students want lessons, which suits teachers with a day job. If you have daytime slots too, mention them.

You teach one student at a time, so every lesson is built around what that student needs next. Expect mole calculations one week and Paper 3 practical answers the next.

You might teach two evenings a week, or most weekday afternoons; both work. Put your real availability in the application so lessons fit your life.
