We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Shah Alam, Selangor, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Shah Alam, the capital of Selangor. Lessons are in English, follow the KSSM curriculum, and begin with a paid one-hour trial.
Chemistry help in a planned state capital
Shah Alam became the capital of Selangor in 1974 and was Malaysia’s first fully planned city built after independence. Its best-known landmark is the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, the Blue Mosque, whose blue-and-silver dome and four tall minarets make it the largest mosque in the country.
The city is also a working one: home to UiTM, one of Malaysia’s largest universities, and to industrial parks in areas such as Section 23, Glenmarie and Hicom that have long anchored Selangor’s automotive and manufacturing base. For a secondary student, all of this is laid out across wide, numbered sections that can sit a long drive apart.
Swap the drive between sections for an hour at home
That planned spread is the daily catch. A tuition centre in another section, or across town near the Federal Highway, can turn a one-hour class into a two-hour errand once the traffic between sections is counted.
Online one-to-one lessons remove the drive completely. A student in Seksyen 7, Seksyen 13, Kota Kemuning or Setia Alam joins an experienced SPM Chemistry teacher from home, and every minute of the hour goes into the subject.
Being one to one, the lesson is shaped entirely around a single student, slowing on the reaction or calculation that is unclear and moving on once it is secure, which a shared classroom cannot do.
Who our Shah Alam students are
Most SPM candidates in Shah Alam attend national secondary schools (SMK), and the city and its surrounds also include national-type Chinese schools (SMJK), religious secondary schools and, in the wider Selangor area, boarding and MARA schools that draw strong students. Home languages are led by Malay, with English, Mandarin and Tamil also present.
Whatever the school, the paper is the same: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English. We teach in English, the language of the exam, while keeping the Malay and Mandarin terms a student already knows within reach, so ideas such as a mole, an electrolyte or an exothermic reaction are understood clearly and written precisely under time.
How the lessons work
Every session is anchored to the KSSM syllabus and DSKP content standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork. We prepare all three papers, the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the practical assessment of Paper 3.
For Paper 3 we coach the laboratory skills directly: planning a fair test, tabulating readings with correct units, plotting points, drawing a line of best fit, and writing a conclusion the data actually supports. Because Chemistry is cumulative, a one-to-one teacher can return to a shaky early topic, chemical formulae, the mole concept, acids and bases, and close the gap while keeping pace with current work, then sharpen timing and marking-scheme wording as SPM approaches.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
Parents and Form 4 or Form 5 students anywhere in Shah Alam are welcome to send us a WhatsApp message, tell us the school, the current grade and the toughest topics, and we will suggest where a first lesson should begin.
