We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Kangar, Perlis, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Kangar, the capital of Perlis. Lessons are taught in English, follow the KSSM curriculum, and begin with a paid one-hour trial.
The smallest state capital, in the country’s rice country
Kangar is the state capital of Perlis and the smallest state capital in Malaysia, a quiet administrative town set on the Perlis River near the Thai border. The town centre gathers around landmarks like the Alwi Mosque and the state administrative buildings, and beyond it stretch the flat paddy fields that make Perlis, for its size, one of the country’s important rice districts.
Its people are largely civil servants and farmers, and its trades run to rice milling, sugar and other processing. It is a compact, orderly place, but in a state this small, the pool of specialist teachers for any one subject is naturally narrow.
A wider choice of teacher, without leaving home
For a single SPM subject like Chemistry, that narrowness is the real issue. In a small state the same few names come up, group classes fill quickly, and a student who needs steady one-to-one attention has limited options within driving distance.
Online one-to-one lessons widen that choice completely. A Kangar student learns with one of our experienced SPM Chemistry teachers and joins from home at a fixed weekly time, wherever that teacher happens to be.
The whole hour is Chemistry, and because the lesson follows one student it can slow down on the topic that will not click and move quickly through what is already secure, attention a full classroom cannot give.
Who our Kangar students are
Students here sit SPM from the state’s national secondary schools (SMK), from a state science school, and from MRSM and other fully residential campuses that draw pupils from across Perlis. Because the state is so compact, families often already travel between Kangar, Arau and Kuala Perlis for school, which makes a lesson that reaches the student at home all the more welcome.
Most students carry Malay as a first language, with Mandarin and dialect in the town’s Chinese community. Whatever the school, the paper is the same: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English.
We teach in English, the language of the exam, while keeping the Malay terms a student already knows within reach, so an idea such as a mole, an electrolyte or an exothermic reaction is understood from either side and written correctly under time.
How the lessons work
Every session is anchored to the KSSM syllabus and DSKP content standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork rather than compete with it. We prepare all three papers: the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the practical assessment of Paper 3, where we coach planning a fair test, tabulating readings, plotting graphs and drawing conclusions the data supports.
Because Chemistry builds on itself, a one-to-one teacher can return to a weak early topic, chemical formulae, the mole concept, acids and bases, and repair it while keeping pace with current work, then move toward timed practice and precise marking-scheme wording as SPM nears.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
If you are a parent or a Form 4 or Form 5 student anywhere in Kangar, send us a WhatsApp message with the school, the current grade and the topics that feel hardest, and we will suggest where a first lesson should start.
