We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Arau, Perlis, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Arau, the royal town of Perlis. Lessons are taught in English, follow the KSSM curriculum, and begin with a paid one-hour trial.
The royal town, and a campus town too
Arau is the seat of the Raja of Perlis, about fourteen kilometres southeast of the state capital Kangar. Its best-known landmark is the red-roofed Istana Arau, the royal palace, with its mix of colonial and Moorish lines, and the large royal mosque beside it.
The old Arau railway station on the main line north gives the town its link to Kuala Perlis and the wider country. Arau is also a campus town, the main UiTM Perlis campus sits here, with other institutions of higher learning nearby, which fills the town with students, yet none of that touches the needs of a Form 4 or Form 5 pupil sitting SPM.
University nearby is not school tuition
It is easy to assume that a town full of campuses must be rich in tutoring, but the two are not the same thing. University lecturers and student life do not translate into steady, school-level one-to-one help in a single SPM subject, and for Chemistry in particular that kind of teacher is scarce here.
Online one-to-one lessons solve it directly. An Arau student learns with one of our experienced SPM Chemistry teachers and joins from home at a fixed weekly time, with the whole hour spent on Chemistry.
Because the lesson follows one student it can slow down on the idea that will not click and move quickly through what is already understood, the personal attention a busy classroom cannot offer.
Who our Arau students are
Students here sit SPM from the national secondary schools (SMK) of the town and district, and many travel the short distance to schools in Kangar or board at a state science school or MRSM elsewhere in Perlis. Living beside universities, Arau families tend to be education-minded and used to the rhythm of study, which makes a fixed weekly online slot easy to keep.
Most students carry Malay as a first language, with Mandarin and dialect in the Chinese community. Whatever the school, the paper is the same: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English.
We teach in English, the language of the exam, while keeping the Malay terms a student already knows within reach, so an idea such as a mole, an electrolyte or an exothermic reaction is understood from either side and written correctly under time.
How the lessons work
Every session is anchored to the KSSM syllabus and DSKP content standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork rather than compete with it. We prepare all three papers: the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the practical assessment of Paper 3, where we coach planning a fair test, tabulating readings, plotting graphs and drawing conclusions the data supports.
Because Chemistry builds on itself, a one-to-one teacher can return to a weak early topic, chemical formulae, the mole concept, acids and bases, and repair it while keeping pace with current work, then move toward timed practice and precise marking-scheme wording as SPM nears.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
If you are a parent or a Form 4 or Form 5 student anywhere in Arau, send us a WhatsApp message with the school, the current grade and the topics that feel hardest, and we will suggest where a first lesson should start.
