We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Iskandar Puteri, the planned city on the southwest coast of Johor. Lessons are taught in English, follow the KSSM curriculum, and begin with a paid one-hour trial.
Chemistry help in Johor’s new city
Iskandar Puteri is one of Malaysia’s newest cities, declared in 2017 and built as a modern, master-planned hub facing Singapore across the Second Link. Its landmarks are recent but distinct: Kota Iskandar, the state administrative centre that houses the Johor legislative assembly; the EduCity campus, where branch campuses of international universities cluster together; the marina and waterfront of Puteri Harbour; and the theme parks that draw visitors from across the region.
Around them spread new townships, Nusajaya, Bukit Indah, Horizon Hills, Medini and Gelang Patah, where many families have moved for work and schooling, and where distances between home, school and any tuition centre can be surprisingly large.
Swap the township drive for a lesson at home
Online one-to-one lessons make those distances irrelevant. Rather than driving between townships in the evening, an Iskandar Puteri student joins an experienced SPM Chemistry teacher from home at a fixed weekly time.
It suits a place where many parents keep cross-border hours via the Second Link, and where a fixed evening or weekend slot is far easier to hold than a nightly run across a spread-out city. The whole hour goes into Chemistry, and because the lesson is one to one it bends around a single student, pausing on the topic that will not click, moving briskly through what is already secure, in a way a full class cannot.
Who our Iskandar Puteri students are
Iskandar Puteri has an unusually mixed education landscape. Alongside national secondary schools (SMK) and national-type Chinese schools (SMJK), the city is known for its cluster of international and private schools, so students come from many curricula and often aim high with an eye across the border.
Home languages span Malay, Mandarin, English and Tamil. For those sitting the national exam the paper is the same wherever they study: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English.
We teach in English, the language of the exam, while keeping the Malay and Mandarin terms a student already knows within reach, so an idea such as a mole, an electrolyte or an exothermic reaction is understood from either side and written down correctly under time.
How the lessons work
Every session is anchored to the KSSM syllabus and DSKP content standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork. We prepare all three papers: the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the practical assessment of Paper 3, where we coach planning a fair test, tabulating readings, plotting graphs and drawing conclusions the data supports.
Because Chemistry builds on itself, a one-to-one teacher can go back to a weak early topic, chemical formulae, the mole concept, acids and bases, and repair it while keeping pace with current work, then move toward timed practice and precise marking-scheme wording as SPM nears.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
If you are a parent or a Form 4 or Form 5 student anywhere in Iskandar Puteri, send us a WhatsApp message with the school, the current grade and the topics that feel hardest, and we will suggest where a first lesson should start.
