Online SPM Chemistry Tutor in Sibu

We are an independent online tutoring service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students in Sibu, in the Sibu district of Sarawak. Our teachers work with one student at a time, in English, following the KSSM curriculum and DSKP content standards, and lessons run from RM50 an hour after a paid one-hour trial.

Because everything is online, the lesson reaches the student at a desk at home, anywhere in the town.

Sibu sits at the meeting of the Rajang and Igan rivers, the busy inland port often called the gateway to central Sarawak. Its symbol is the swan, and the Sibu Gateway swan statue by the water is a familiar landmark, as is the Tua Pek Kong temple with its seven-storey pagoda looking out over the Rajang.

The town was built up by Foochow settlers from the early 1900s, and that heritage still runs through its shops, food and schools. A student here grows up in a lively river town, but Form 4 and Form 5 come down to the same thing as everywhere in Malaysia: turning study into marks on the SPM Chemistry paper.

That mix is a strength, but classes are large and a student’s specific weak spots can go unaddressed.

One-to-one lessons put the focus back on the individual: the teacher works at one student’s pace, finds where marks are actually being lost, the mole concept, electrochemistry, acids and salts, rate of reaction, organic chemistry, and concentrates the hour there.

We teach in English to match the SPM Chemistry paper (subject code 4541), while supporting the Chinese and Malay terms a Sibu student already uses, so nothing is lost in translation. We cover Paper 1, Paper 2 and the Paper 3 practical, rehearsing variables, tables, graphs and marking-scheme conclusions directly on paper and screen, so none of it is met for the first time in the exam hall.

Lessons are booked on weekday evenings or weekends around a student’s real timetable. Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers.
