We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Selayang, Selangor, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour after a paid one-hour trial.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Selayang, in the Gombak district of Selangor, on the northern edge of Kuala Lumpur. Lessons are in English, follow the KSSM curriculum and the DSKP content standards, and begin with a paid one-hour trial, from RM50 an hour thereafter.
A town that wakes before dawn
Selayang is best known for the Pasar Borong Selayang, the wholesale market that is among the largest in the Klang Valley and comes alive in the small hours as lorries of vegetables, some carried down from as far as Cameron Highlands, are sorted and sent on to wet markets across the city. Alongside it stand the Selayang Hospital and the busy commercial core of Bandar Baru Selayang under the Majlis Perbandaran Selayang.
Wedged between Batu Caves and Kepong and threaded by the MRR2, this is a dense, hardworking, close-packed part of KL North, where many families run stalls, shops and trades that keep unusual hours.
Swap the cross-town traffic for an hour at home
For all its energy, getting around Selayang at the wrong time of day is slow. Reaching a tuition centre can mean the MRR2, Jalan Kepong or Jalan Batu Caves at a standstill in the evening, and a class shared among many once you arrive.
Online one-to-one lessons take the journey out of the equation entirely. A student in Selayang Baru, Taman Selayang Utama, Bandar Baru Selayang or the flats near the market simply joins an experienced SPM Chemistry teacher from home.
Because there is no travel, the weekly slot can be fixed around a household that may keep early market hours, a late afternoon, an evening, a weekend, and the whole hour goes to one student.
Who our Selayang students are
Selayang’s SPM candidates come from a genuine mix of schools, national secondary schools (SMK) and national-type Chinese schools (SMJK) across Gombak, and from homes where Malay, Mandarin, English and Tamil are all spoken, often in trading and small-business families where time is tight and evenings are full. They all, however, sit the same paper: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English.
In a large class even a willing student can lose marks on one idea, the mole concept, electrolysis, acids and salts, without ever getting the chance to ask. A one-to-one lesson is built entirely around that student’s own gaps, at that student’s own pace.
How the lessons work
Every session follows the KSSM syllabus and DSKP standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork. We prepare all three papers, the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the Paper 3 practical, where we coach planning a fair test, tabulating readings, plotting graphs and drawing conclusions the data supports.
Because Chemistry is cumulative, a one-to-one teacher can go back to a weak early topic and close the gap while keeping up with current work, then sharpen timing and precise marking-scheme wording as SPM approaches. We teach in English, the language of the paper, while keeping the Malay or Mandarin terms a Selayang student already uses within reach.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
If you are a parent or a Form 4 or Form 5 student anywhere in Selayang, send us a WhatsApp message with the school, the current grade and the topics that feel hardest, and we will suggest where a first lesson should start.
