Around them sit The Mole Concept, Chemical Formulae and Equations, where the Avogadro constant of 6.02 x 1023 mol−1 and the molar volume of 24 dm3 mol−1 at room conditions live, along with Acids Bases and Salts, Rate of Reaction, and Manufactured Substances in Industry. Students who treat these chapters as separate facts, rather than one connected picture, are the ones who struggle most.
