What Form 4 builds, and where it gets hard
Form 4 is the foundation year of SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, and its eight chapters lay the groundwork for everything that follows: Introduction to Chemistry, Matter and the Atomic Structure, The Mole Concept with Chemical Formulae and Equations, The Periodic Table of Elements, Chemical Bond, Acids, Bases and Salts, Rate of Reaction, and Manufactured Substances in Industry. For most Kota Bharu students the wall is the mole.
Converting between mass, moles and number of particles, reading a balanced equation as a ratio, and using 24 dm3 mol−1 for gases at room conditions are skills that reward practice, not memory, and once the mole is shaky, formulae, equations and later stoichiometry all wobble with it. Getting this secure early is one of the most useful things a Form 4 student can do.

One-to-one means the lesson bends to one student. We keep pace with what the Kota Bharu school is covering now, then double back to firm up anything unsteady, a formula that will not balance, a mole calculation started from the wrong quantity.
Sessions are anchored to the DSKP content standards, and from the first month we build exam discipline: tidy working, correct units and answers phrased to match the question. We introduce the Paper 1 and Paper 2 styles gradually and begin the science-process skills that Paper 3 practical work assesses, so Form 5 arrives without nasty surprises.
