We provide online one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons for students in Jerteh, Besut, Terengganu, taught in English with bilingual term support, from RM50 an hour.
We are an independent online tuition service offering one-to-one SPM Chemistry lessons to students who live in Jerteh, the main town of the Besut district in the far north of Terengganu. Lessons are taught in English, follow the KSSM curriculum, and begin with a paid one-hour trial.
Chemistry help in the heart of Besut
Jerteh is the busiest town in Besut, the district that sits at Terengganu’s northern edge against the Kelantan border. It is the commercial centre of the area, the market town where the surrounding villages come to shop and do business, and it is linked by Federal Route 84 to Kuala Besut on the coast, the jetty town from which boats leave for the Perhentian Islands, Redang and Lang Tengah.
That makes Jerteh a crossroads for a whole rural district, but being a market town does not mean a specialist SPM Chemistry teacher is easy to find nearby, and the state capital is a long way south.
Swap the long drive for a fixed weekly slot
That distance is exactly what online one-to-one lessons overcome. A Form 4 or Form 5 student in Jerteh who wants dedicated Chemistry help would otherwise face a long drive south toward Kuala Terengganu, or across the border toward Kota Bharu in Kelantan, either way, time spent on the road rather than the subject.
Online lessons bring the teacher to the student at home, and the whole hour goes into Chemistry. It matters most during the northeast monsoon, roughly November to February, when this stretch of the coast sees some of the country’s heaviest rain and travel becomes difficult; a fixed online slot simply continues, week after week.
Who our Jerteh students are
Students in Jerteh sit SPM from national secondary schools (SMK) across the town, Kampung Raja, Kuala Besut and the surrounding mukim, with some in religious schools and the state’s residential schools (SBP) and MRSM colleges. Besut is a strongly Malay-speaking district close to the Kelantanese border, and most students carry Malay as their first language, so an exam written in English can be an added challenge on top of the Chemistry.
The paper is the same wherever a student studies: SPM Chemistry, subject code 4541, examined in English. We teach in English, the language of the exam, while keeping the Malay terms a student already knows within reach, so an idea such as a mole, an electrolyte or an exothermic reaction is understood from either side and written down correctly under time.
How the lessons work
Every session is anchored to the KSSM syllabus and DSKP content standards the school teaches, so our lessons reinforce classwork. We prepare all three papers: the objective questions of Paper 1, the structured and extended answers of Paper 2, and the practical assessment of Paper 3, where we coach planning a fair test, tabulating readings, plotting graphs and drawing conclusions the data supports.
Because Chemistry builds on itself, a one-to-one teacher can return to a shaky early topic, chemical formulae, the mole concept, salts, and repair it while keeping pace with current work, then move toward timed practice and precise marking-scheme wording as SPM nears.
Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. A new student begins with a paid one-hour trial, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour in a fixed weekly slot.
If you are a parent or a Form 4 or Form 5 student anywhere in Jerteh, send us a WhatsApp message with the school, the current grade and the topics that feel hardest, and we will suggest where a first lesson should start.
