An SBP student’s week in Johor Bahru

Because sessions are one to one and online, a leave weekend can become genuine forward movement rather than a scramble. The teacher picks up exactly where the last session left off, targets the chapter that is causing trouble, organic chemistry, thermochemistry, or the reactivity series, and leaves the student with clear next steps to think about back in the hostel.

English-medium lessons with bilingual support

SPM Chemistry is examined in English, and we teach in English so that the language of the paper becomes second nature. At the same time, we support the Malay terms a student already uses in class, so definitions and answers can be rehearsed comfortably in both. Everything follows the KSSM curriculum and DSKP content standards, keeping our lessons squarely in line with the school’s own scheme of work.

Coaching for Paper 3 and the written papers

Paper 3 is a practical assessment, and it tests science process skills that are easy to lose marks on: identifying variables, tabulating readings correctly, plotting and interpreting graphs, and writing a conclusion the marking scheme accepts. Our teachers coach these skills directly, alongside the calculation-heavy and definition-heavy parts of the written papers. In a one-to-one setting the teacher can watch a student’s working unfold and correct the reasoning at the exact point it goes wrong.

Every lesson is taught by one of our own experienced SPM Chemistry teachers. New students begin with a paid one-hour trial to try a real session, and regular lessons run from RM50 an hour.
