Because Chemistry builds layer on layer, an early topic left shaky, acids, bases and salts, titration and neutralisation, or the mole and its calculations, makes the chapters that follow harder than they should be. A one-to-one teacher can go back and firm up that ground while keeping pace with the current chapter, then, as SPM draws near, turn toward timed practice, model answers, and the exact phrasing the marking scheme rewards.
